AES Uitgaan: planning
The EU Exit (Single Window) process changes. Do you wish to know when you can or must take action? We will keep you informed of the AES Uitgaan planning here. This page also states when the changes have to be implemented in the systems used to register the goods exiting the EU.
November 2023
As an EU Member State, the Netherlands will have to meet the requirements of the UCC, and thus AES, ultimately by late November 2023. We expect that businesses will be given the opportunity to implement the changes in the 2nd and 3rd quarter of 2023. This will be possible until 30 September 2023. From mid November 2022, businesses and software developers will be able to test their updated software in the Customs test environment.
Transition period starts on May 8
You have to switch to AES between May 8 and September 30. You can still submit old ECS notifications during this transitional period. The moment you switch, you can submit your AES notifications. After September 30, it is no longer possible to submit old ECS notifications.
